So, if you want to do tourism activities in the National Marine Parks, it is mandatory to have a ticket to enter the conservation area. As well as if you want to do research and educational activities, everyone is required to have an Entry Permit to the conservation area.

Marine ecotourism activities can be carried out in groups or individually whose activities include diving, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, spectacle, kayaking, and other activities related to tourism.

Educational

Marine Parks are open for educational activities carried out by domestic and foreign educational institutions/organizations.

Do I have to have a permit to do activities in the Conservation Area?

Yes. Everyone who has activities in the Conservation Area must have a permit in the form of :

  • 1. Entry Pass for marine ecotourism
  • 2. Entry Permit for researching activities
  • 3. Entry Permit for educational activities

How to get an Entry Pass and Entry Permit?

Entry Passes can only be obtained through seapark.kkp.go.id. You can apply for an Entry Pass or Entry Permit independently or through a tour operator.

Do we need to pay to get an Entry Ticket?

Yes, you need to pay to get an Entry Ticket. The fees vary based on :

  • - the type of activity
  • - the number of participants
  • - the nationality, and
  • - the facilities used
  • in accordance with Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 85 2021 concerning Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenues applicable to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, (PP-RI, No. 85, 2021).

    Can I bring my own tools and equipment for diving activities?

    Yes, you can use your own tools and equipment by applying for an Entry Pass first.

    Do I need to bring the entry pass when I do activities in the area?

    The entry passes or the entry permits are published electronically, you don't need to print it and carry it when you do activities there.
